Saturday Afternoon Only-dedicated "Soul Record fair" We allow 50 or 100 boxes into the event to be carried about, however we thought it would be a way for collecters to meet up to swap/sell & trade from smaller boxes on Saturday afternoon "in Comfort" and also raise money for the Charity by having a "BOX TAX" of £5 straight into the bucket to raise money. Please note this event is only open to those who have weekender passes and is not open to anyone who has not bought tickets to the event ! Your box will be "Tagged" on its handle to show you have paid up and up to a double size box allowed 200/ 250 size -tax is £5 PER BOX so don't take the P**s by bringing 10 boxes in and only expecting to pay for one! Its all for charity people !!! We hope to establish this as a regular feature in the future for people to get rid of those surplus sounds !! and raise some money for Charity. Hey up ian hope you are ok we are meeting thurs night in the south cliff for a few drinks and a get together for the people who cant wait till friday and then the ecsc just asked me to run a bit of a warm up in the spa for a bit of a laugh and a start to the weekender and for people to get thier bands early to avoid congestion. Last year the southcliffe asked us to supply them with a few cd' so soulies using the pub before, after or in between the weekender could listen to a few sounds while eating drinking or socialising before going into the spa and i have done this for them this year as well just hope no one swaps the cd,s i supplied them for different ones last year as said we all met friday afternoon and sat out side the southcliffe there is no intention of running two dos but just to add a bit of fun to the weekender Yocky.PS why dont you nip in friday afternoon spin a few sounds for us and then nip back for a pint to the southcliffe all in all there is going to be a hell of a lot of soulies in brid that weekend see you soon mate Yocky and Joy. Hiya Yocky & Rob, we all had a great time last year sat outside in the rain lol but as you say there now could be too many for the Southcliffe to handle !! last year there was some CD's playing and about 4.30/5pm they had a DJ on ( he was a bit poor tho lol) playing club classics. I,m only bringing a sales box mate for sat afternoon. You arriving thursday Yocky ?? Now matching people up to the last spare tickets which have more or less dried up. I'll be talking to Wicksy later to asses the situation, but OVER 1,960 people attending Yorkshire's Own Weekender next weekend. I heard there was a scramble for tickets in Notts over the Weekender, when we say its a "sell out" then thats what it is !!!
