Hi New Here With Records To Sell Advice Please

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hello everyone,

I'm not a Northern Soul afficianado but love the music.

I worked in a second hand store years ago and just picked up on the tracks I liked the sound of.

I've been sorting through everything to give to my son and came across these listed below.

I've got them all on cd now and thought it was time to move on.

After a couple of nights frantic surfing and investigating I think these will be of interest.

Question is should I sell them to a dealer or is it worthwhile sticking them on ebay.

I'd appreciate the advice.

Thanks

Chris

I'd put them on ebay if I were you. Theres nothing particularly rare there unless your little anthony is the 1966 black issue, and you'll do well with the Gil Scot Heron on Philips but apart from that not much, the Jimmy Radcliffe is almost certain to be a bootleg

Is there a way to tell if its a bootleg

By the way the Little Anthony is on a black United Artists lable

Thanks

Chris

Should say the Gil Scott Hero (Lady Day...) has the centre removed US style.

they're all like that Chris, there's no solid centre of the 45, and the other side is even better.

cheers Sutty

Cheers Sutty, in the words of Manuel "I know nothing"

Separate tpoic but I've been told my Darrow Fletcher demo is a bootleg unless it has the BellSound stamp in the dead wax.

Any idea what the Bell Sound stamp looks like. My version has got the record number and separately "bs" stamped in lower case - is that it or do I have a repro?

Thanks,

chris

I didn't think Darrow Fletcher had been booted, especially as a white demo. A Bell Sound stamp is just that, the words Bell Sound in script lettering in the run off groove.
