francis t Posted February 16, 2009 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Thanks to everybody who turned up for our Valentines night collaberation with Tribe night club.The music policy of old soul and motown with plenty of northern went down well with most folks.This event was open to everybody at the request of the club owners, and as a soulie I do not have much time for brainless piss heads, a few of whom wandered in very late and danced like Andy Pandy with broken strings.Fortunately they arrived when most soulies had gone home and next time we will not let them in.Other comments that drinks prices were a bit steep, but seasoned soul travellers who visit various venues told me the drinks were reasonable. Generally, a really good soul night and the potentially this very smart venue could take off given half a chance. I know a few missed out on the night due to being on a Valentines Night promise, or threat of death if they didn't take the good lady/good man out somewhere special and hopefully we will see them at the next one. cheers francis t west midland soul club Link to comment
