stafford wmc.2 14 june 1986

Derek Pearson

When I initially uploaded alot of these photos I didn't include any captions with them and I always sorta meant to get 'round to it. But I never did.

When Stafford's Top Of The World closed its doors for the last time the gap was filled straight away by all-nighters 2 miles away at Stafford WMC.

Sat down at the table left to right:

Me with trusty red sales box by my side. Just realised now I was wearing one of my favourite blue shirts. Aah I wonder what happened to that? Bet I could still wear it at a push.
Buttons-a- bulging maybe.

Then there's Kyle sporting his 'just done that day' new short hair cut courtesy of Christine I imagine.

Crouched over thumbing through the records is the boyish looking Carl Fortnum who moments earlier heard me saying "You need those records Carl you do. You know they're awesome. I'll knock you summat off and do you a good deal. Trust me".

Sat down, thinking about what he had for tea, is that man from Brighouse - Craig Butler looking equally boyish.
He's nonchalont. He's cool. He's reading what looks like is a copy of my old fanzine which I'm fairly certain he still hasn't paid for.
And he still wears that blue top.
And he's still got that moustache.

From the album:

It was never the same after 1978
