First off let me say I didn't take this picture and I don't know who did.
But what I do know is that it was given to me by Denise North;
a lady who I regularly see described in local newspapers as "one of the kindest, most caring and generous people around".

Picture taken from Mr M's balcony looking over the dance floor towards the toilets at the end.

Lad in white shirt with black tie is the well known Atlas from Stoke well regarded as a good lad.

Tell you what that tall lad in short sleeve blue tee shirt front of picture doesnt half look alot like Gis Southworth who was part of the Preston Lunatic Fringe at Stafford hahaha.
Anybody confirm?

Not Gis - having had many conversations (verballing) with him I can confirm that he didn't get into the scene until after Wigan - he was a punk originally.....

bloody hell derek!
I've just spotted myself on this brlliant picture
I'm the bloke in the middle with the compulsory moustache, wearing a black teeshirt on with a logo on it
pretty sure it was my bushmills whisky teeshirt which i scrounged on a trip to N Ireland
so it could well be early 1981?
what do you reckon??

Sorry Derek I can confirm what Mick has said...not Gis... he was never a Casino waller!! Never missed Stafford in the early days but never quite made it to Wigan!
But I agree very good lookalike!

Hi Dave - glad you enjoyed the photo; it must be a bit of a surprise to see yourself on somebody elses photo but still quite nice nonetheless.

I'm sure many of us (myself included) look at other people's photos and think wonder if there'll be me on any of the photos wandering about in the background.
