Hi, great version...it's obviously not the Spinners but could it be the Doug Parkinson version from late 70's early 80s??? Anyone?

It is a good version IMO but it's definately not Doug Parkinson as i have a copy of it thanks for input tho thumbsup.gif

 ILL BE AROUND / TERRIE WELLS /SPINNERS / DOUG PARKINSON / I KNOW THREE VERSIONS MATEY KTF RICTIC

It's most certainly NOT Doug Parkinson. That version was very much on mainstream radio in Australia ...we all grew up with it, so never understood the attraction in the uk.

I don't know who the audio version is, but I think it's familiar hypo.gif . There's a 90s 'smooth jazz' version by RUSS FREEMAN & THE RIPPINGTONS which could be it, but I think the OTIS GAYLE version might have a reggae twist. Perhaps they're worth asking about?

Not the one btw

No defe not but a great record which I finally got today thanks to a wonderful service from Mr Smith (Pete not Denzel Washington that is), better known for the other side but I think this is a side that never really got any attention.

Cheers

Jeffrey Osbourne is the lead vocal for Russ Freeman and The Rippingtons on that track.

but it's not Jeffrey either

Knew i had the cover of i'll be around somewhere & this is on the other side. No info on the artist though as it's on a white label test press. Guy sure can sing though whoever he is.

Definately his style and sounds like him
