    Must admit the tummys bubbling
  3. As Chalky said we knew it was coming but that gut wrenching feeling we've had all weekend remains. It was a priveledge to know Mickey. Never a dull moment and to laugh with him was the norm not the exception!!! RIP buddy. You will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with Annie, family and his nearest and dearest.
  4. Quality set Rob - thoroughly enjoyed it.
  5. alternatively the font of all record prices could get one cheaper Tez - see ya tomorrow night if you're going
  6. Its on you tube mate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYOr7bJ0gsE Good version...never heard it before. Bet you've got it Teddy boy
  7. Just to echo the thoughts of the promoters....music was faultless. So good to hear uptempo tunes you know next to ones you don't. Adam and Matt were spot on with their spots. A handful of purchases that I was extremely pleased with......(my fave is the Marvin L Sims, Adam). A pleasure to meet Vernon and Ronnie, hope you guys can make it to Rugby with Ed and Neet. Love this venue, the friendliness of the door staff and in fact everyone who attends and the music is fresh and a wonderful tonic. Many thanks and hope to be back real soon. Steve & Ang
  8. Use to travel up to this do from the South Coast. Recall a guy called Richard Franklin playing Love Starved heart/Come on back to me baby and other unissued motown tracks from a 10" acetate which I jokingly asked of him to "giz it" one night. Surprisingly he asked for my name and address and albeit about 3 months later it arrived. Hardly knew the guy but restored my faith in human nature. As for the nights at Drummonds they were thoroughly enjoyable - right opposite either Euston or St Pancras if I'm not mistaken.
  9. Thanks Matt, as ever it was good to see you too BUT I'm still not coming to watch the Bristol C v Posh match
  10. Many thanks to Alfie for asking me to spin some tunes. Totally agree with the general concensus that the music was fresh and most enjoyable. Hadn't seen the likes of Matt, Dave and Shay/Jackie for some time so was good to see them aswell as the likes of Bearsy, Marie, Tim, Dave/Jan and the "Birthday" posse. Four final words from me.....Smithers, "Foxy", Jammy B******!!!!!!
  11. Recall Kit playing this to me years ago when £40 would snap you a copy. Been played loads and as Chalky states is pretty well known but hardish to find. Good tune
  12. Welcome Lorraine. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say you've brought so much joy to all of us over the years and that it's an honour for us to know that you're sat back and soaking up the adoration because it is truly heartfelt and soooo deserved. My favourite tracks of yours? I can't hold on, She don't want you and You only live twice. Enjoy the site. It's truly wonderful to know you're with us all on here. Steve C
