Am i the only one who finds Utube a sad embarrassment of NS then ?? The name of the site is a big clue so why do all these muppets post up sound files with a scan or a rotating record or a picture of Wigan !! very sad imho !! Can't believe Utube allow all this shite to be posted on it with no video of such !!, yes there are some good videos but not many and not nearly enough to spend some time on the site, don't use it myself for this reason alone !! yeah i bought a Dana Valery demo off Kev Cox a long time ago and it had "Lewi from Runcorn" scratched in the dead wax. I used to go to Wigan with Lewi, we used to meet at Warrington Patton arms many a saturday night !! Asked Kev and he said he bought it off a small guy at the 100 club , Lewi was fairly small as i recall !! Ian.

yep have to agree with Pete, an integral part of the scene in the day, i still do it now and try and get others going. Reminds of once when i was a passenger in a car driving to Chamonix to go snowboarding and it was about 3am and we were listening to an old NS tape/CD (can't remember which !) and as the track playing hit a break i slammed my hands together outstretched and started to clap, well my mate driving shit himself and swerved all over the fooking road at 95mph and nearly lost it bigtime and went mad at me for almost giving him a heart attack Ian.

i have an original issue for sale ( without M Terry credit) it has a tiny edge crack that goes into the vinyl for 1/2 an inch but does not show up in any way or form, it plays mint with no ticks/clicks guarenteed or your money back. Label is ex++ PM with an offer please. Cheers, Ian.

Not a chance, they seem to charge what they like above the standard rate they advertise. i got stung over £80 on some golf clubs last year and before that around £70 on an Iphone. the sad thing is that millions of post gets through ok and they only have the manpwer to pull up a small percentage, mate of mine got sent an Ipad from the US, he got a customs letter etc and had £190 to pay on it, ontop of the £750 he paid for it off ebay, when he phoned to pay for it and ask for delivery (extra charge too) the woman came back to the phone and told him the box was empty !! it had been nicked whilst at the main office in Nottingham, the box had been ripped open and resealed with sellotape, when she looked at the box she said it was no wonder it had gone as the sender had written on the US customs clearance note that the contents was an Apple Ipad Think it,s just a case of fingers crossed mate Ian.

I have this CD and notice that 2 tracks, Gloria Jones - Tainted love & R Dean Taylor - Ghost in my house are both non original tracks this is a Universal CD and the other 48 tracks are all original so this is baffling me as to why they would use these 2 poor inferior tracks, both sound semi disco ish lol Anyone any ideas why ?? Mine came with the LP and plays perfect so must be another run, they are all low volume due to the size of the thing and compressed grooves. it does have a few small ticks at the start but it,s because it uses the original recording which has them too. Ian.

wonder how big this thread would be if this was Wigan Casino we were talking about ?? If the T'interweb was around in 81 i reckon this site would have imploded by now !! Great iconic venue and night run by a great bloke but hate to say that yes London town is a BIG problem, i know tons of folk that won't go near the place, it,s a nightmare but not the main reason why i suppose, look at the world and whats going on these days is enough to drive most people potty, asking them to spend their hard earned on a night out many miles away that going to cost a small fortune ain't gonna happen anymore, pure & simple sadly. As for DJ's, whjy don't you have a complete change round Ady, wouldn't do any harm to invite a pile of new faces down for a night ?? hate to see it go so good luck with it all mate ian.

a nice copy of the hard to find Ohio Players double Superpak LP with a great version of the Sam Williams classic sung by Miss barnes (also has "You Don't mean it" - male singer on it & a few other decent tracks !) vinyl is mint. cover is VG++, just a touch of ring wear and a corner rub, was still sealed when i got it, only opened to check vinyl. £30 delivered to UK PM please, thanks, Ian.
