Bringing an Ashton virgin along this time. Picking up Steve Goldsbrough in London. Originally a Burnley lad Steve is now an honorary Southerner, much like myself. He won't want to go home! Happy Birthday Steve.

Great stuff, lots of new faces every month.Looking like a great night on Saturday

  4. The North West is currently basking in the Sunshiiiine, so "don't look back in anger" and head over to Ashton Ukrainian Club on Saturday July 19th Parkas optional, although not advisable !!!

Colin Law is "mad for it" so much so, he's hitting the road South to make his debut behind the decks, prepare to get on that f$uk1n dancefloor !!

That just leaves Team Ukrainian regulars Chris Churm Phil Dunn and yours truly Mick Howard

Incredible response already so early arrival is advisable as The M60 and surrounding roads are gonna be busy, can't think why?? Lol

The night runs 7pm-00.30 and no dynamic pricing £6 gets you in and immersed in that indefinable atmosphere, that so many have commented on.

Our well stocked Bar/Lounge area is the place to catch up and peruse a whole plethora of Sales boxes.

Please check back regularly via the link to our Soul-Source event page thread, for an ever expanding list of what musical delights to expect on the night and please RSVP the event!!

Judging by the response so far, it's gonna be hot to trot at Ashton!!

  6. Finishing the week off in fine style with another selection from Colin Law. A record with a fascinating back story, as most of the rare soul 45s seem to do, the vocalist was serving in the American forces and recorded this while based in Germany. Haunting mid tempo gem !!

On a personal note it would be amiss of me not to mention the passing of the wonderful Brian Rae. On Saturday I'm planning to give these 2 gems a spin which sit in pride of place the playbox.
