  8. Back in the late 80's early 90's my brother Chris used to run the Cecil pub in Doncaster, and he used to have the occasional soul night, and on one such occasion a lad turned up with a battered 50 single box of bits to sell. I spotted him first and got my hands on the box, but it was filled with usual soul motown atlantic bits, all not very exciting, so I never bothered to finish looking. The next bloke to have a look (Alex Denham I think), carried on to the back of the box and pulled out a minty Paul Thompson special kind of woman, and it cost him £3.....ouch! I have never liked that bloody record since that day Heath.

  18. I didn't recieve 2 recorded deliveries earlier this year, I got the number from the seller, but the royal mail website just says "Being Processed". I did get my money back from honest ebayers, but still pissed off cos I wanted the 45's. On a similar note, a few years back I sent a decent priced 45 recorded and it went through ok, the website showed the correct named signature, then a few days later, the buyer started a series of emails, and denies it was their signature. I couldn't get any info out of the Royal Mail as as far as they were concerned they had done their job ok. What pissed me off most about that was it was someone on here who was sending me all the hate email saying that I had not sent it in the first place??
  19. I always think Suzy's Serenade sounds like something talked over on the radio.
  20. Hi all, I don't know if the identity of who Lynn Terry really was is widely known or not, but while I have been in the process of updating my website I was writing a little piece about the singer and did a Google check and it doesn't seem as if anyone has made the connection between the Lasalle release and her real identity. It turns out she is really Kathy Lynn Keppen who started out as a member of Kathy & The Playboys on Swan records, before signing for Berry Gordy to release La La La La La / This Is True on VIP 25036 as a member of The Lasalles. Here is how she ended up at Lasalle records.... And here are a couple of pics of the lady herself Rather than get my wrist slapped for uploading MP3's, if anyone who doesn't know the VIP releases wants to listen to the tracks to compare her voice, then head over to my website on the following link. http://www.raresouli...uk/page-41.html Knowing me, this will probably be common knowledge and everyone has forgotten to tell me Cheers all, Heath
