Help with a title for this r&b tune

It's by Eddie Boyd, but seems to be a slightly different version to the one on YT

    PP ARNOLD

Although it's supposedly Tami Lynn, I reckon it's Sissy Houston her vocals are unmistakable.

    Luther Ingram again...

Interestingly one of the publishers is Brianbert, Robert Bateman's publisher when he worked at Motown in the early 60's
  7. Trying to contact Richards Evans and Gene Barge - Chess Records writers & producers. Appreciate any information or leads anyone has on these two. Sony ATV Music Publishing has royalties we need to pay to these guys. Please PM me if you have any info. Thanks Tim Fuller Sony ATV Music

    JM Youtube site terminated?

YT has music recognition software which it why it's pointless trying to put in cryptic combinations of the video titles to try to avoid detection. That doesn't mean that they take down everyone's sometimes that just block the video, but if a YT account holder to uploading a large amount of recognised copyright material I would imagine that's why some accounts get closed.
  12. The Undisputed Truth - Face To Face With The Undisputed Truth (1972), although this isn't the last record by any means, it shows that the Funk Bros where still active in there lates 60's line up.

    Motown Soundalikes

Interesting how some Motown cuts don't even have the trademark Funk Brothers sound, listen to most tracks by the Monitors (with a few exceptions) they don't have the 'Motown Sound' which leads me to think they were recorded at perhaps Wingate Sound or another studio after Berry bought this studio.

Can Anyone Identify This Track Please

For the record Audio Network are a 'Music Library Production Company' that supplies music to the Broadcast (TV & Radio) Industry, in the same way as KPM, Carlin, Bruton etc. operate Terry Devine King is probably their most prolific writer, and these companies make their money by supplying production music composed by their stable of in-house composers. Many of these tracks are 'soundalikes' so if a production company is making a 60's drama and can't afford to license a Hendrix or Who tracks they can get a soundalike a lot cheaper from a Production Library. I haven't been to the Audio Network website lately, but I assume there are a number of 60's northern and general soul soundalikes.

More Lost Soul Gems... From Memphis - Out Next Week

For my money one of the best things to come out of this label is the unissued Willie Bollinger track, 'Shake Shake Shake', it's hidden away on the Ace Memphis 60 compilation, great mod sound. I have it on Carver, but is seems it would have been better on one of the Mod Jazz or similar comps. Can be still purchased here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Memphis-60-Various-Artists/dp/B002610HRW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403880949&sr=8-1&keywords=memphis+60 It's not on YT, but you can listen to part of it via the following link: http://www.amazon.it/Shake/dp/B00EHIHW4I

    Tamala Lewis - Jobete

Apologies Robb K, the sound sample I loaded to the Refosoul doesn't seem to be working, perhaps as Andy say's it's just as well you can't listen to it!
