  3. I have opportunity to get Cody Black I'm slowly molding King yellow demo It ain't cheap so I'm not laying out that kind of cash unless I got a sale. Condition: Ex (it looks close to mint but for some dimples pressed in the vinyl. Not affecting play) Label water damaged £950. Need to know asap 07808253553 Cheers, Rob
  4. I just picked up a copyof Ruby Feminine ingenuity on gold token. It looks slightly better condition than mine but when i played it i felt it sounded a little flat. I wondered if it had been doctored in any way but it looks totally unblemished. So i played mine against it and the drums sound clearer, the vocals fresher, the horns sharper. Its not by much in fact in a venue you'd probably never notice but in my front room i can tell. I was confused. Then i noticed one has "distributed by Malynn enterprises" on it the other doesn't. On further inspection the run out grooves have different matrix numbers. One is ET 100 4700 (that's the distributed by one which sounds sharper) The other has GT 01 4353 (this is the one listed on Discogs - though I'm gonna add the other one). So my theory is this. They issued the record without distribution first. Then they got the distribution deal and remixed it to sound clearer. Not that it helped as obviously it sank without trace. But anyone got any further info? Rob
  5. Been offered this Ty Karim but it's orange not pink Looks like a real one but I only ever seen pink ones Any idea Rob
  6. Superb info. It's Definately a repro then. Cheers Rob
  7. I'm in this store in the States He played me this early clover 45 I wanna take a chance with you. Nice modern soul. So he wants a big ticket and I decide to take the gamble. Then I investigate further and find it's been reissued. Reissue on Discogs looks IDENTICAL even though it says it's made by soul thing records. Why the hell didn't they put "soul thing" on the label somewhere. Looks like it only says ST 002 in the run out. Original has no info about run off grooves. So I look at mine and it says ST 002. So next day I take it back and tell him I want a refund as it's clearly the reissue. He told me it couldn't be as he bought it 3 years ago and it was in a bundle of records acquired from a radio station of 60s and 70s things. So how could it be from 2015. And all purchases were final. Anyone enlighten me further about differences? Cheers Rob
