  3. Today is World Cancer Day, so what better time to announce a wonderful painting of Levanna McLean, Northern Soul Girl, by Gill Smith of Preston. This fantastic, original, one off painting is to be auctioned off on Ebay within the next few weeks. You will be able to bid for the painting once I post the link. Every penny of profit from the auction is to be donated to Cancer Research as part of the Dancing On The Carpet Event. The painting is copied from a photo with permission ...of Jim Cossey a Bristol based photographer. Now in it's second year the Dancing for Cancer Research UK on the Carpet will continue partying at Yates's just 80 yards up from the carpet and on the Promenade There is a large wooden floor downstairs which can accommodate up to 200 dancers and upstairs a smaller wooden dance floor which can accommodate up to 70 dancers All furniture will be moved away from the dance floor
  5. After an amazing first ever event where over 1,200 Soulies danced for 4 hours and raised over £11,000, the biggest Northern Soul outdoor event on the calendar last year is back. This is the official event, and is being organised with the approval of VisitBlackpool and Cancer Research UK who were overwhelmed by the amount of money raised in May of 2015.   7. My late father worked for Massey Ferguson in Trafford Park as an engineer building tractors. As a youngster I was sat by management on a tractor and was photographed and used in an advertisement. Thus becoming tractor boy to.my dad and his workmates. So nope I am not an Ipswich fan

  13. Although I suffer many illnesses I do not complain. I get on with taking my medicines and my paracetamol. However my illnesses are controlled by those medicines and although life is uncomfortable I still live amongst you But there are illnesses which people don't believe happens and yet there are illnesses which are more mental than physical.
