  1. If you’re looking for an authentic Blues vinyl night that grabs your soul and just want let go then Blues, Brews and Dancin’ Shoes is the real deal Born from a life long passion for the many variety of blues styles from early Chicago blues to Delta Blues and many others you can be assured It ain’t nothing but the Blues ! If you love the Blues from recording labels such as Chess, Excello, Vee-Jay, Chief and many others then this is the place for you! Resident DJ Bryan Rookes together with tonight’s guest spinner Monti will be spinning all those floor filling rare blues records so get those dancin’ shoes on The Royal Oak is a superb venue that’s perfect for putting on such an evening It is safe to say that the independent nature of the Royal Oak is what sets it apart from many of it rivals in Bath. It is the embodiment of what you see is what you get, and more often than not that is a jolly good time. There are three regular ales from the in house Brewery Ralph's Ruin together with Downton Chimera IPA and guest beers from microbreweries, near and far, In addition to the real Ales there is always an equally interesting range of ciders, perries and bottled British and Belgian beers. And for those who fancy a more conventional brew there is always Budvar, Erdinger and Guinness. The pub has sun trap beer garden, is dog and children friendly and has a small car park at the rear. On several evenings during the summer months you will often find some of the locals cooking up a treat on the BBQ in the garden. A strictly bring and cook your own feature.
