My first love is my wife i also love up-tempo Northern Soul but I buy 60.s 70s 80s 90s and up to date Soul records, i like going to modern soul nights now and then, as back in the mid seventies I loved going to the Mecca as much as the Casino, Manchester Ritz, Burnley Romeo & Juliets all dayers Just love listening to soul records that hit you full on and the vocals just pour down all over you and you know you just have to DANCE! A pint of Bitter or two! MAN UTD,

Gene-R near right Nev's collection went up for auction Tony was highest bidder on may items I believe. About three years ago I helped Tony try to fill out a full run of Curtom 45's & he came back around a year ago to ask if I had one to finish the run, It was a gift from me. RIP Tony.

20th Anniversary Sweetsoul Charity event dedicated to Michele Jackson
SteveJohnston commented on Makemvinyl's calendar event in Soul Nights
Very Sad to report this is the very last Sweet Soul as a monthly soul night that's reached the milestone of 20 years is testament to Doug Hall & Andy Jackson's dedication over the years, more so Doug over the last year or so, Well done to Sweet Soul. If you've ever graced the dance floor of this long running soul night on the Kings Road Newark this is your last chance to relive the memory's at Staythorpe Club, so polish up them dancing shoes & get your self down the Kings Road on Friday 4th September.
