  1. 'Sophisticated Soul' did originally come out in mono, in the UK.
  2. Audiophile quality vinyl... IN MONO?
  3. Another fantastic compilation from KENT
  4. Clare Bathé – Forever, nice soul ballad from 1981, cheap as chips 45 but seems quite rare not many on Discogs C-Brand – Plenty Of Love, great track will pick this CD up
  5. Joe Simon is the stand out track !
  6. this has quite a few standout tracks, own some already on vinyl or CD, favs would be Cornell CC Carter - "I See Love" (Metlife remix) SouLutions - "Who's Been Kissing You" Victor Haynes - "Who Do You Love" among others, very nice comp
  7. don't think that's the issue anymore, Jeanette keeps popping up and keeps selling for £1k, it's more about desirability, lots of internet/social media awareness plus it's international now, not confined to the UK NS scene
  8. unlikely from sad experience of how families behave anyway the prices continue to go up Ed, I get no sense that they will drop anytime soon, the long awaited NS price crash continues to be delayed just gotta grab em while you can or be happy with the sounds on mp3/streaming
  9. yes it's gone for about £1500 a few times
  10. Merry Christmas Everyone & a Happy New Year
  11. Merry Christmas and a very happy 2020 to every single one of you.
  12. this has been a fantastic place to be part of in 2019 and I wish each and all a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year
  13. A lost classic! It sounds great almost 45 years later
  14. Horrible tripe,i`d rather listen to my own firing squad.
  15. agree with this, and punters should show some respect, I've never once felt the need to be a nosey so and so and approach the decks
  16. Shouldn't have to TAKE RISKS, should be playing his tunes for all to enjoy, not to have em nicked,or ruined by,a piss Ed,and it doesn't matter how rare or expensive,a record it is,they are the guys pride and joy,and nowt wrong with just being a punter, but it's nice to be asked to play, and what's a real record ? and as far as plenty with great records who never get booked, well that's because folk are set in there ways and prefer to go venues with the old yesteryear DJs than go and support an unknown dj who will play the same tunes, and fill a floor for half the fee,and yes just having records doesn't make us all DJs,but there no better feeling than playing your tunes,to a packed floor,
