  1. Unbelievable piece of music. The production on the single is as an absolute masterclass.
  2. John I would have come clean to you once you posted a reply as to how I found out but it seems the poster of the track and then me were fooled. Have to say I like it. It’s definitely got something going for it. Hope you’re well, pal
  3. Ha ha. It certainly is the very record in question. I was being a little devious because when you put your curser over the track that Ben posted somebody asks the question "I like it. What's it called and who is it?" The poster then answers " I'm packing up. Steam. Unissued from 1972" It's all there to see. I definitely am not the oracle and have been well and truly busted.
  4. Then keep safe, pal. I can work from home but I'm considered to be in the vulnerable group so a non-brainer from me to stay inside.
  5. Why are you signing on Steve? If there is no work for you, your employer can furlough you. If they pay you 80% and recover 80%, its a neutral cost for the employer.
  6. "This applies to employees who have been asked to stop working, but who are being kept on the pay roll, otherwise known as ‘furloughed workers’. HMRC will reimburse 80% of their wages, up to £2,500 per month. This is to safeguard workers from being made redundant." "To be eligible for the subsidy, when on furlough, an employee can not undertake work for or on behalf of the organisation. This includes providing services or generating revenue. While on furlough, the employee’s wage will be subject to usual income tax and other deductions." "Employers should discuss with their staff and make any changes to the employment contract by agreement. Employers may need to seek legal advice on the process" Extracts from HMRC website which may help. There will be questions relating to certain circumstances that won't necessarily be covered by the published advise and it will be assumed that broader information will be available to cover any such circumstances. My question right now would be - "How do I prove that I have furloughed an employee?"
  7. Its "I'm packing up" by Steam. Unissued.
  8. The man. The song. Nominated.
  9. https://www.dtegroup.com/news/blog/coronavirus-job-retention-scheme-furloughed-employees This has been prepared by our tax partner at my company and may be useful for those who are wondering about the employment support measures. Apologies if it duplicates information previously posted.
  10. My first £1 record. Just a magnificent piece of music and an incredible production by Johnny Bristol. Hairs on the back of the neck stuff, even after 50+ years.
  11. All good here Steve. Working from home for the foreseeable future so quality podcasts etc will be a must to get me through the tedium of sitting on my couch with a laptop.
  12. I didn't get an opportunity to listen to this. Is there a podcast or some such recording by any chance to listen to?
  13. Did this project ever get completed or has it been permanently canned? Shame if it never sees the light of day
  14. Between the Stax and Atlantic contracts the boys saw a gap in the market......
  15. Fantastic. Imagine this with full studio production, but still retaining that rawness especially the (kind of) ad lib phrasing. Special talent for sure
  16. "You don't mean it" - Towanda Barnes. The response to every manifesto and promise
  17. Jaco

Equally belated wishes Kev. Hope it was a good one. Mike
  18. Not sure how the duplicates happened but these are from Neist Point lighthouse, the most westerly point of Skye
  19. Some from my first day’s trip to Skye
  20. "Love is missing from our lives" "In the rain" "And I panicked" Stone cold classics from a master
  21. Barrino Brothers mentioned but not the storming “Trapped in a love”
