Fever Kicks on
(This is your invitation to a secret location...)
Backstreet Alley Cat gets the Cream
Hidden underground on the street that's the cradle of the UK music scene is a late-night hang-out where anything can happen and you can bump into faces, pin-up girls, cool dudes and everything in between. And you are cordially invited to another night of cool, retro, Popcorn grooves there, on 4 Denmark Street on Friday 1 April. The Sound Sheiks will be spinning vintage, exclusive, all-vinyl 50s and 60s rhythm'n'blues, atmospheric soul, Latin, some ska and a healthy dose of 70s funk.
This is no April Fool, although there may be a few japes on the night, which runs from 9.30pm-2.30am and it's free entry for all (while socks last). Oh, and there's also free popcorn. Big tunes at the moment: Tiny Tim, Lavern Baker:
Mongo Santamaria, Don't Bother Me No More
Prince Buster, Dance Cleopatra Dance:
