The 16th National Aussie Northern Soul Weekender Details
Since its inauguration in 1998, the National Australian Northern Soul Weekender (aka "The Nash") has gone from strength to strength. Gone are the days of 50 buddies meeting in the back room of a pub - this is a now a serious OVO event boasting some of the finest 45s on the planet. Having rotated round Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & the Gold Coast, we're now back in Perth for the 4th circuit for the "WEST COAST SHING-A-LING", and this year we are honoured to confirm Ginger Taylor as the guest DJ.
There will be 3 events - Friday 7 til 2, Saturday 7 til 4, Sunday 5 til 12 preceded by a meet & greet on Thursday and possibly finishing with an after party. At the time of writing 2 out of the 3 venues are locked in and we are negotiating for the 3rd. All will feature big wooden dancefloors of course. The music policy will be (1) 100% dancers, (2) predominantly 60s and (3) a good helping of quality crowd pleasers and in-demanders, with the emphasis on quality.
As for the location, Perth is the gateway to Australia and one of the sunniest and most spectacular cities around - a perfect springboard for your holiday of a lifetime down under. Ticket sales are now available at the following website https://perthnash2013.epicevent.com/2013 and payment is by PayPal only, with a small number available on the door for anyone who is unable to book online - the cost is $A70 for a weekend ticket. Feel free to email me at email@example.com if you have any questions, and keep your eye on www.perthsoul.com for updates (under the "events" tab). The event is also on Facebook - simply search for the 16th Australian National Weekender and you'll find it no problem.
I'm already expecting over 25 visitors from UK & Europe as well as the usual 70 travellers from other states so this is shaping up to be a truly international weekender.
