Looks like being a unique 3 room event . Have already caught the 5:15s live . Great musicians and live performers ,  really looking the part in sharp mod suits and tunes to match . They recently played the massive Cleethorpes Scooter Rally so expect a great mix of The Who , The Jam , The Animals , Small Faces , Yardbirds ,  etc and the Lambrettas 'poison ivy'.

Plus there's the Northern and Motown  'classics' room & 'Dekka's Roots Room'.

Extremely pleased to announce that Dorian Cox who founded the cult band The Long Blondes will be guesting as a DJ in the Roots/Flipside Room. Dorian formed the The Long Blondes in 2003 in Sheffield and was lead guitarist and song writer. At the age of 27 in 2007 he suffered a stroke and never played guitar again. In 2008 he had to break up the band.

Again not the same old same old in Dekka's Roots Room . This is going to be quite an event . All we need now is for Jay to organise Andy Lewis tho expect he's fully occupied with his Paul Weller commitments so guess Andy will be for a future one .

As for this one , Door Tax: Pre-Reserved £7.00 / OTD £10

I have been in contact with Andy. He has been abroad recording with The Song Book Collective in Germany. And, yes, he is busy but is looking at dates when he can come up and deejay or even play in the near future. Fingers crossed Andy Bellwood.

This is building into something quite exceptional and as Andy has intimated, you can just throw away the rule book on this one.

DJ line up is a work in progress at the moment, but as always, the Roots room will deliver something quite unique

Definitely Dekka, the dj's keeping the punters on their toes and vice versa. Most excellent!

It was great to see Dekka tucking into the hog roast pulled pork as an aperitif before the onslaught of The 5.15's.

It will be rockin' hey Mr R?

Great news:

Alan May  - Glory Boy Mod Radio has managed to find time in his busy schedule to be one of our guest deejays. Times and rooms to be decided. Even more soulful mod power added to the mix!

Check out his radio show link below -

Will be nice to catch up with Alan , the 'Glory Boy' in person, still banging on about Secret Affair no doubt - not seen him since the mod revival days (79-81) . His current weekly, Sunday night,  radio radio show is one of my fav , must listen .

Yes, it was good to catch up with Alan recently at a secret photo shoot for The 5.15's. He kindly brought his GS so we could get some pix taken with it. He is pictured above with it and us. His radio show is brilliant and always showcasing new bands from all over the world. A proper educational experience.

Just had confirmation that a minibus/coach has now been booked to bring folk back to York. It is filling up quickly but it may still be possible to book a place if people are interested. Just get in touch with a pm.

Plus Hornbeam Park railway station is near - easy walking distance . On York - Harrogate - Leeds line so good for onward connections at Leeds and York including all night Manchester trains ....

The mini bus has sold out all of its 32 seats. However it seems a possible deal is available for a taxi back to York for about £33. So let us know. But if more want to get back we may need to look at a bigger bus.

2 or maybe 3 sessions from the 5:15's it's all bit fluid at the moment, one thing for sure though, greatest band in Yorkshire and some of the greatest eclectic DJ's for the Roots Room in Yorkshire plying their trade and all on original vinyl, an amazing mix of styles from the DJ's never seen before and all in the Roots Room

Roots Room - If ya wanna know, then Go

H'mmm, I'm quite interested in going here:

 Toc's Northern Soul Room:

I'm lead to believe that this guy has an extensive collection of valuable and rare soul music all on OVO ...................I wonder if he's any Rita da Costa:g:she was big in Wigan back in t'past.

Dave - digging out from the attic, Stay Pressed Strides, Boating Blazer, Ox Blood Brogues, Ben Sherman button down, and last but not least Pork Pie hat:ohmy:

Due to the unavoidable delay of the 5:15's first set not starting now until approx 8:30pm I have taken the decision to delay the start time of the event from 2pm to 4pm, hope this doesn't inconveinience people too much please spread the word of this time change, many thanks, dekka
