Amazing night of Rare Northern Soul in the tradition of sharp-end venues like Wigan, Cats, Stafford, Mecca, etc. Ideal, atmospheric venue and huge up-for-it crowd. Very, very receptive dancers... trusting in the taste of the DJs. The way it should be and could only be with a flawless roster like this. 

Massive thanks to Les for putting in the punchiest sound system I've heard in years. Those beats sounded so much more powerful than I ever remember hearing. Quite unique. Needed to be heard to be believed. Everything sounded a notch or two better than normal! Astonishing. 

Superb, uncompromising music from all the DJs:  Nat Nicholls, Chalky, Soul Sam, John Vincent, Roger Banks, GUY HENNIGAN, Dave Thorley, Ted Massey, Lou Wood & Woody and (I think!?) yours truly. 

Last but not least a really great, hardcore crowd, hungry for new tunes, quality oldies, better R&B and classy seventies.  

With attendances averaging 400 GILBERTS is now established as one of the UK's premier All-Nighters. Looking forward to another huge night at the end of October with an equally good DJ line-up.

Had a great time at this - the floor had plenty on it for both the tried and tested tunes and the newer stuff. Atmopshere and venue was great as was the sound system. Really friendly crowd too. Many thanks to Pep and everyone involved. Cheers!
