11. Nice pic of DJ from discogs. Had a fairly short lived career by the look of it, all on Creative Funk. Surprising given such a powerful voice - reminds me of Linda Jones
12. With all that's gone on during this week , I just wanted to post this .. We may be divided in football but we are United in grief ... Well done Manchester ! 👍
13. Wild Geese is one of his best outings, he was brilliant alongside Burton & Harris, showed what a top class actor he was. I may have to dig it out and watch it over the weekend.

18. Don't ever remember hearing the 'spoken intro' version back in the day and I loved the record. It was maybe only 10 years ago that I heard it for the first time - I bought a copy off here of one of the well known dealers for £80. Ian Levine championed the record in the first place - he was a big fan of the label and mentioned it often in his BM column at the time. He even printed Deke Deberry's contact info and that's where we got our copies from . Mike Charlton spoke to him on the phone and ordered six copies. The version was well known version and they were 'promo' copies. He was only able to supply five copies so he put in a copy of Tow Away Zone in to make up the order - and that was a real bonus as it was a big want of mine at the time! Just for clarity...... Are the normal issue promo only - does anyone have an issue? Are there promo copies of the spoken issue ? - mine is an issue Are people sure that it was booted - one is mentioned here and there is also a a white on purple copy (which I have). Is it another case of just different pressing runs ordered by the owner to meet demand locally in the US?

20. Theme tune written by Pete Townshend's (then) father-in-law Ed Astley, and I still occasionally come across blokes of a certain age with a home-made 'Saint stick man' tattoo. A sure sign of a disreputable youth in the 60s or 70s.
21. To be released this friday (26/5/2017) on Tramp Records Wayne McGhie - The Love You Save (prev. unreleased) / Love Is The Answer SALES NOTES: This time the Tramp crew serve you with a delicious double sider by Wayne McGhie. "The Love You Save" was never released when recorded in 1972 and this long-lost track is now available here for the first time on 45! In 1972, Wayne signed with record producer Greg Hambleton and, with former members of the Hitchhikers, recorded a couple of tracks including "Love Is The Answer" and "The Love You Save" at Toronto Sound Studios. "Love Is The Answer" was released later that year as a 45rpm single with the instrumental version on the flip, however "The Love You Save" was never released. Now, more than four decades later, the music of Wayne McGhie has been re-discovered and his songs and musicianship are finally receiving the attention so long deserved. Love Is The Answer b/w The Love You Save (prev. unreleased) by Wayne McGhie You can listen and purchase it here:
22. Somewhere I have several thousand images from circuses and fairs, this is one I took a few years ago.
24. Whoops!
25. Looks remarkably like the Chillingham wild cattle!
26. I was in Japan then, didn't hear about the Falklands until it was over and I'd reached Wellington. Met a chap in Morrison's last Friday morning with a very bright sleeve of tattoos and a strapped up chin and split lip, I asked him if he'd had a skateboard accident as he looked the type, he said he was taking a selfie at Gibraltar Point and fell over, he'd had 9 stitches in his chin that morning, it was only about 10ish when I was talking to him and he'd had the stitches put in 3 hours before. Nice way to start the day, with my fear of heights I'd never get up there.
27. For sale, nice Calla original of Frankie and the Classicals - What Shall I Do (short intro) £35 including post, please pm if interested.
