  1. Sounds Of Blackness perhaps?
  2. Dear Folks, Has anybody ever located the B-side of this: https://www.discogs.com/Valentinos-Stay-Away/master/1034766 Curious how much different it is from Bobby's own version. Ciao, Kees
  3. Anybody know if his first single Three Nights And A Morning on Lotus (1967) ever appeared in decent sound on an official compilation? Most 45's seem to have pretty bad audio...
  4. Yes, still waiting. This is the reply from SS: We ran into issues with the printer. We hope to have them ready soon, though. Sorry for the wait.
  5. Plus, for those interested, I have plenty more rare Womack stuff. Like the Your Navy Presents 2LP, an amazing late 60's, early 70's 'live in the studio' recording. Amongst my very fave BW recordings ever...
  6. About the origins of the song you will probably have to go on a RS blog and ask. Or send an email to one of the Stones, you never know... Ronnie may just reply! If he remembers at all...
  7. For those who wanna hear it, here's the entire track: https://ge.tt/6bwf6qI2/v/0
  8. Besides that there is no real mystery I guess. As explained in that little story The Stones always surrounded themselves with fellow musicians for inspiration and Bobby was a longtime friend, very close with Ronnie Wood. And Bobby liked to hang around sessions and ether play music or talk about it, endlessly. I once sat in at an interview with some friends in 2011 where Bobby talked for about six hours straight! He also played us some amazingly great new music, over flat TV speakers, haha, that was never issued. They were definitely finished recordings... Shortly after came that dreadful Albarn produced LP... Here's some info of what might one day still see the light: https://www.bobbywomack.com/bio.html His daughter GinaRe hopefully has access to those great recordings of which several have slipped out on the web by the way.
  9. There is some basic info to be found here: https://www.rollingstonesnet.com/DirtyWork.htm And here: https://www.iorr.org/talk/read.php?2,1734707,1734707
  10. Man, I've been looking for this since ages. Can I hear 'Sweet Mama" somewhere?
