  1. From 30p https://www.discogs.com/M-People-How-Can-I-Love-You-More/release/542893
  2. He was a lovely man, who did indeed support Rugby in our younger days and brought many people along with him. Now in good company with Trev RIP xx
  3. Omg, I knew I was shattered after Saturday but I have been in bed & mostly slept for 20 out of the last 24 hours. I couldn't write a proper thank you and review on my phone but I'm back now We had our highest ever numbers for the anniversary, so you just don't know at the following event. It was also a lovely day which to the allniter world means you have a few drinks in the day & can't make the night Idell & I were so organised with the door set up that we sat outside on the wall, in the warmth, waiting for our first guests to arrive at 7.10pm :-D Yes, we open at 8pm but this is part of Rugby now. We had a good, steady flow of people and a few times, I was even able to say "no pushing at the back" I think a very good attendance was achieved. So, now to the important part, the thank yous. The punters, I put first because how ever amazing the DJs are, without the punters, we would be nothing. The DJs, although second in line, pull in the punters, so without them, we would also be nothing... Kenneth, Dave & Phil, our amazing residents. Tom, our resident in waiting (Dave understands the joke). David Abbott, Mark Bicknell, Pat Bleasdale, Mick Cooper, Dazz Dakin, Nerrad Nikad, Calvin Lee Hughes, Wayne Napier-Gibbins, Kris Sikora, Rob Smith, Jordan Wilson & Billy Whizz. Last but by no means least, my fabulous door staff, Idell, Carol & Michael Tabs. If the DJs would like to post their playlists, please do so. Or even a taster of what they played 68 sleeps til our June swoon on 17th June. Hopefully I will have recovered by then
  4. Oops, sorry Geoff, I missed your post. But now you know what a lovely floor we have
  5. DJ times
  6. Leave. I love to pop back and trawl through old threads when I'm bored. Makes me smile
  7. Yes, we've been very lucky with numbers. My eldest son did comment when we were running at a loss that my career in accounts wasn't really ringing alarm bells
  8. Len, I don't know if you saw my post re: the rising cost of hiring the Benn Hall and it prompted your thread. Anyway, for those who didn't see it, here it is... We've just paid the deposit for the next year of Rugby Allniters. The council have put our hire charge up by 26% this year, that's another £255 just for the room (excluding door staff) Those who are good at maths will realise that's £1,200 a night! We have to take it on the chin because we love the venue & don't want to lose it just because it's a mental layout. We have had a rise in charges every year (except last year) since we started and have managed to still keep our entry to £10 before 9pm and £12 after. Luckily our numbers have gone up too. So we still don't intend to put our entry price up. And we'd like to thank you all for your continued support. xx It was never about the money for us but covering our costs needs to happen. It didn't for the first 4/5 yrs and we've probably never covered our loses from back then but we've had a great time doing it
  9. I've just heard that the family would prefer everyone not to wear black As I only ever normally wear black, I'm sure no one will recognise me.
  10. Funeral details for Charlie (Kev) (Good Angel) Jarvis. Thursday 2nd March at 3pm Bretby Crematorium, Geary Ln, Bretby, Burton upon Trent DE15 0QE And afterwards at The Greyhound, 149 Ashby Road, Woodville, Swadlincote, DE11 7BU Where the family would like you to celebrate his life. xx
  11. I hope that this is the right place to post this... I held back until I got the ok from his family but it is with a sad heart that we have to announce the passing of one of our loyal supporters at Rugby, Charlie Boy (Kev) Jarvis. Your spot, right, front of stage, will ever be yours Charlie xx Just a few pics of Kev at our allniter. Dance again without pain Charlie boy. Our Good Angel ;-)
I'm not sure if I should write our thank yous on here but felt I should. We made it to 14 years The highest numbers thru the door & 41 in before we opened What a buzz that you have supported us and allowed us to achieve this. Thank you all, dancers, DJ's, helpers, all the cogs that make us what we are. Now, after 3 professional photographers at the last Rugby, we didn't have one this time So please, anyone who has got some, can you messaged me. xx
  12. Well I missed you
