Baby Dont You Weep

My full name is Martyn Stanford born 17/01/1959 but have always been known has 'Stan' and still use the name now, started out on this long journey when i was 15 years old going to the local nights around Burton-on-Trent and then went to my 1st niter at Wigan in September 1975 and still have my membership card from that date although a bit tatty. Did the Wigan niters nearly every weekend (sometimes twice) along with Samantha's in Sheffield, Blackpool Mecca, Notts Palias, Coalville Tiffineys and many many more, and i can honestly say i missed very few Wigan niters over a 5yr period from Sept 75 till 1980 which at that point i got married got a morgage and had two kids so things had to change, but still managed to keep the local nites going to Burton Townhall, Guildhall, Willington, Rolls Royce and Bretby when it was alive and kicking. Still cannot move away from this wonderful music which infected me all those years ago and still collect records although not to the extent that some people do. I have met so many people that i love dearly through our love of the music and all that comes with it, and also lost a few because of the some of the side effects that go along with the scene if you know what i mean. Well thats my intro over, and look forward to meeting and speaking soon Stan.
