Our next Grasshopper Soul Night will be Friday 26th April, 2024 for Northern Soul & Motown. The Guest DJ's will be David Burke & Julie Val, & Rick Barker - so it's looking good! Looking forward to seeing you all again for plenty of dancing and a bit of fun! Angie & Dave, & Johnny P.

We are not able to hold our regular monthly Northern Soul & Motown night at St. Anthony's this time. The next Grasshopper Soul night will be on Friday, 26th April, 2024.

The IN CROWD (Blackpool) Present a Charity Event - "Sunday Soul & Ska by the Seaside" at the Bispham Conservative Club, 70 Red Bank Road, Blackpool. FY2 9HY. This is a Charity event - entry is by donation! All proceeds will go directly to the Charity.

Secondly, unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to hold our monthly Northern Soul event at St. Anthony's in January. *** IMPORTANT MESSAGE *** Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold our monthly Soul Night at St. Anthony’s in OCTOBER, as they have a existing booking for the 27th – which they confirmed after the last Grasshopper Soul Night. We have deliberated with alternative dates, but there was always a clash with other venues. So the next Grasshopper Soul night at St. Anthony’s will be on NOVEMBER 24th, 2023 –The Anniversary night! So please put it in your diaries. If you know people who are not on Facebook, or Soul Source, then please pass the word around so everyone is aware that there will NOT be a Grasshoppers Soul Night on OCTOBER 27th, 2023. In memory of my younger brother, Andy Rooney, who passed away in May this year, we have decided to organise a fund raising event to support TRINITY HOSPICE, who gave Andy exceptional care in his time of need, as they do for all their patients. Trinity Hospice is a Charity and events like this will help them continue giving the amazing care they provide. See Flyer below. Please come along on Sunday 15th October to support this good cause. Next Friday, 30th June, we shall be holding our Soul Night at St. Anthony's, Fulwood (postcode PR2 3SQ). This will be our regular venue, as May was the last time at the Rugby Club. Below are Directions:- From M55 J1 / Broughton Roundabout, follow A6 Preston (heading South) for 0.8 miles. At the Traffic Lights turn Right into Black Bull Lane (Black Bull Pub on the Corner). After 0.8 miles turn right at the mini-roundabout onto Cadley Causeway. After 0.3 miles, at the mini-roundabout, turn right into St. Anthony’s Drive. Then 1st Right into the Car Park behind the Church. The Social Club is behind the School. (see separate map).
