Covering two different DJ sets with this baby La Reine La Mar – That’s Not The Way To Love / Mama I Don’t Want To (Cloud) £200 VG++ Few Scuffs but plays great. A very hard to find track which has fetched considerable more on ebay. Much rarer to this first Cloud release. Well worth checking out if you don’t know it. Inexx & Charlie Foxx – No Stranger To Love (Stateside) £25 VG+ A lovely UK issue of this beautiful mid-tempo track. Few marks but plays great. The Precisions – If This Is Love (Drew) £25 VG+ Evergreen Northern that’s still packing the floors, and for my money wacks Eddie Spencer far more pricer version. Few scuffs but plays great. Mitty Collier – Don’t Let Her Take My Baby (Chess) £30 Ex Great Northern/Popcorn from the rather marvellous Mitty Collier. Truly Richards (Columbia) £40 Ex Lovely Impressions inspired Northern. Great track.

    A night of soul 'Togetherness' spinning the best in Northern Soul, classic Motown, Rhythm & Blues, deep Funk and more. This month resident DJ Craig Jamieson is joined by very special guest Andy Lewis. Bassman with Paul Weller Band, Acid Jazz recording artist and resident at the legendary Brit pop ‘Blow-Up’ club, Andy’s box of vinyl magic has taken him Djing around the globe. Were also joined by Lucienne Cole, Soul sister #1 from Camden’s very own ‘Crawdaddy’ club. Taking place at the Mansion, Beckenham Place Park, this Grade 2 listed Georgian House is set amongst Beckenham’s rolling fields and is one of South East London best kept secrets. TOGETHERNESS ‘SUPPER CLUB’ Hosted by our friend at Pexmas, this special supper club ticket will be available exclusively for Togetherness event. Lonnie Lester & Chuck Danzy – Ain’t That a Shame (Ex) £50 Lonnie, he rarely dissapoints. A 45 that's getting a lot of attention. Jean Wells – With My Love and What You Got (Ex) £50 Fantastic funk-edged Northern. The Versatiles – Cry Like A Baby (M-) 50 Love this track. Beautiful mid-paced Northen. Driving R&B Northern. Ray Agee - Your Precious Love (Ex) £25 Cookin’ R&B on the obsure Celeste label Mel Torme – Coming Home Baby (VG++) £15 Disc in great shape but has centre dinked. Clarence Murry – Don’t Talk Like That (M-) £25 Flawless copy of this Northern Soul classic.

This is unbeatable modern soul from a tiny LA independent label. Could very well see this 45 go. Major Lane – Um, Um. Um, Um (M) £25 Picture Sleeve This is lovely and a real period piece. Vinyl looks unplayed and sleeve in great shape, No tears or splits. See picture Major Lance – Rhythm (M) £25 Picture Sleeve Iconic image of Northern Soul that graced many a soul-nite flyer. Vinyl looks unplayed and sleeve in great shape Billy Butler – Come on Over To My Side (Ex) £15 A very under-rated Butler side from the magical production partnership of Gerald Simms and Carl Davis. There’s writing on label and stickers over artist and track details (See pics). Vinyl itself is flawless Tammi Terrell – This Old Heart of Mine (Ex) £15 Fantastic version of this classic from one of Motown’s leading ladies. Bob Brady & the Concords – Love is the Master / It’s Love (Ex) £20 Be difficult to find a better example of that mid-sixties pop soul sound which formed the bedrock of the early Northern Soul scene. A Twisted Wheel favourite. Great double sider. Sam Ward – Don’t Take It Away (VG+) £25 The grading's a bit misleading here as the record plays great. A much rarer promo copy on the very collectable Tamla ‘Double Globes’ label. Distinct R&B edge and one for the new breed collectors. Maximillian – The Snake (VG++) £20 Massive tune on both the mod and Scooter scene. Clean labels and although the vinyl looks a tad worn, the record plays Ex. Sandra Wright – Gotta See My Baby/We’re Gonna Make it (M) £35 This is a stone cold mint promo, never played and in company sleeve. Much rarer on promo copy Esther Phillips – Home Is Where The Hatred Is (VG) £15 Esther’s version on the Gil Scott Heron/Brian Jackson original. Fine for DJ’d, I’ve played it out many times, but has a few pops here and there Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell – California Soul (Ex) £15 A smoother and more soulful take on this classic. Great set ender.
