  2. Thousands of vinyl records covering all genres coming up for auction on the 22nd September at Omega Auctions in Warrington (link below) https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/omega-auctions/catalogue-id-srom10057/search-filter?salesection=Vinyl+Records&page=5 See lots 450 to 641 for the majority of the Soul & Black Music Thanks for looking! Paul
  3. In my opinion if you do not fancy going down the e-bay route the best way is to sell them at auction (vested interest I know! ). Both collectors and dealers the world over bid against each other ensuring excellent prices are achieved. We sell collections from a few hundred records to 50,000 records - we hold specific Northern Soul auctions every 6 to 12 months (subject to supply) and regular rare vinyl auctions every 3 months. An example of our next Northern Soul auction catalogue is below: https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/omega-auctions/catalogue-id-2877115 Admittedly a dealer can pay you there and then (and most will make reasonable offers) but if you don't mind waiting a couple of months it can ensure you get the best price for your collection. We are relatively new where selling Northern Soul is concerned but have been selling rare vinyl for 4 years and often get better prices than on e-bay as people can view records before bidding and therefore can bid in confidence safe in their own knowledge re gradings etc.
  4. Hi all, Here is a link to all the SUE 45's (and many more) coming up for auction....enjoy! https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/omega-auctions/catalogue-id-2877115
  5. Hi all, As promised here is a link to the catalogue: https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/omega-auctions/catalogue-id-2877115 Happy viewing! Paul
  6. We have 50 UK Sue 45's up for auction on the 7th March including quite a few of those mentioned above (no Willie Mae Thornton though!) Catalogue will be online from Friday 15th with images for all lots. Will post a link when it is up and ready for viewing. I can send a list of the SUE 45's through in advance if anybody is interested. Cheers Paul
  7. Just a quick update re the catalogue for the Northern Soul auction on March 7th - it will be online with pictures for each lot by this Friday 15th Feb. Keep an eye on the site below: www.the-saleroom.com and scroll down to find Omega Auctions. There are over 300 lots with a great mix of quality records. Any questions let me know Cheers Paul
  8. The catalogue will not be available until sometime between the 10th and 14th Feb as we are still accepting lots and pulling the catalogue together. If you are after anything specific we can check to see if they will be included in the sale Thanks
  9. Hi all, There were 2 examples of discs being listed without knowing they were bootlegs. You are right that it was pointed out and as a result amendments were made to both listings to reflect the feedback we received. Comments made after the listing started (which get tagged in at the bottom) are not shown in the Popsike listing you sent through but they were added to make buyers aware. In both cases the persons that bought the discs realised after the event (having not read the additions to description at the bottom of the listing) and the sales were cancelled without any questions as it was an easy mistake to make with the addendums only being at the bottom. It was a genuine error being new to the Northern Soul vinyl scene and one that I happily hold my hands up to. Once (or twice as the case may be!) bitten twice shy, so for the auction in Nov and for this one stringent checks have been made to make sure it doesn't happen again. Hopefully that answers your question .......

  11. Hi all, Coming up on Thursday 7th March is another Soul, Motown and Northern Soul auction to be held at Omega Auctions in Stockport. The last auction at the end of Nov 12 proved to be a success with both buyers and sellers coming away from the event happy. Hopefully it can become a regular event which allows buyers to get their hands on some quality vinyl whilst giving sellers the chance to achieve market prices without the hassle of selling via e-bay etc. Up for auction this time is the lifetime collection along with many other Soul related lots consigned by a variety of vendors. There will be 60+ UK SUE 7" singles along with complete collections on the UK Chess (including demos) and Atlantic labels - more detail will follow shortly. Lots for the auction are still being accepted so if anybody out there has either a few records or a collection they would like to sell get in touch. Keep an eye out for the catalogue via the site below -it should be available from around the 14th Feb. www.omegaauctions.co.uk Cheers Paul
  12. Hi Graham, We are an auction house that has a Northern Soul auction coming up and we have 48 UK Sue records coming up for sale with many of the rarities! All are at least VG with many Ex+. There will also be a complete run of Black label UK Chess (including promos), UK black Atlantics plus many more US and UK Soul, Northern and Motown 45's. Our catalogue will be available via the following link sometime in early Feb and there will be a good mix of UK soul in addition to the Sue records. https://www.omegaauctions.co.uk/ Do you have a list of any specific ones you are after? Thanks Paul
  13. Thanks to everyone who joined in today, both in person and online. Hope you enjoyed yourselves and your purchases! Hopefully see you again in March. Best wishes Paul, Karen & the team at Omega
  14. Hi to all at Soul Source, I will be the auctioneer on the day and can promise some great lots for all those bidding (just getting the auction room ready now!) We have viewing days from 11am to 7pm on Tuesday and Weds so plenty of time to view the records and search through the job lots (which in my opinion are potentially great value for money with some little gems hidden amongst them). We hope to make the Northern Soul auction a regular event with one scheduled for March next year so the more that get involved the more likely we are to have more in the future - also if anybody out there has a similar collection or just a few records they would like to sell then get in touch and we can see about including them in our forthcoming auctions. Thanks and hopefully see some of you this week. Paul
