The Juke Joint is in it's 8th year. The event happens in the legendary basement of the Jacaranda club in the heart of Liverpool city centre. Expect raunchy R'n'B, 60s Soul, Mod and early Jamaican sounds all on original vinyl. It's a FREE event from 15.00- 21.00. The Jacaranda has 3 floors, the top floor is a record shop and cafe, there is a ground floor with a bar and the basement where we spin the records. Our music is connected to the ground floor as well as the basement to ensure your listening pleasure. The Juke Joint attracts a fun and friendly crowd and there is a party like atmosphere. Resident DJs are Phil Laing, David Melling and David 'Cally' Callister. We have a special guest DJ at every event and on this occasion we are privileged to have Pete Griffin who is an all round top guy with a superb record collection.

It opened in 1958 originally as a Jazz club evolving thru the 60s embracing Mersey Beat, Mod, Soul, R'n'B and Jamaican music and culture. The Juke Joint is a bi-monthly event for those who like to listen and dance to amazing music in a cool and friendly place. It's hosted by resident DJ Phil Laing with special guest DJs selecting from their precious vinyl collections. Fellow resident DJs are David Melling and David Callister. We have special guest DJ Des Parker joining us. The main event is in the basement. The music is also connected to the ground floor where you can enjoy good vibes whilst you are buying a bev or whilst chatting to friends/loved ones/ randomers!!!! Now in it's 7th year the Juke Joint takes place in the legendary Jacaranda club which is in the heart of Liverpool city centre. It's always a friendly and enthusiastic crowd and it's a party atmosphere.

Once again we have the Juke joint in the legendary basement of the Jacaranda club which dates back to 1958. Expect the finest R'n'B, 60s Soul, Mod and early Jamaican sounds all on original vintage vinyl. We have Lorna Beattie as our very special guest DJ alongside resident DJs Phil Laing, David Melling and David 'Cally' Callister. It's a free event and we are in to our 7th year. Always an electric atmosphere with a very friendly crowd. The Jacaranda is in the heart of Liverpool city centre with great access to rail stations and the major routes in to the city. It's FREE ENTRY! 3PM START FINISHES AT 9PM

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!! The Juke Joint is going ahead Sunday 18th July!! We will be adhering to Covid restrictions and to ensure that people feel safe and comfortable the event will happen in the basement AND the ground floor. The DJs will be playing in the basement as usual and the music will be hooked up to the ground floor. We have our usual resident DJs David Melling and David Callister playing, I’ll be spinning too and maybe a secret (for now) guest DJ !!! Please like and share and let’s make this happen.
