  1. Be good to catch up with Mike and Nick, haven't seen them since Blackpool Winter Gardens Weekender in June.
  2. Glad to say I'll make it 8 appearances in a row, I would hate to have to miss a charity event I've supported from the beggining. Hopefully Graham will be fit enough to join us on the day, get well soon mate. Shed.
  3. Looking forward to playing out with Steve Hay and Neil Horsman again, pity I've got to do it again at Soul for Heroes on Sunday lol.
  4. Hi All, just to let you know that I shall be having further celebrations for my 60th birthday at the Carlton Club on Saturday. Instead of our usual pay at the door policy we will be asking for donations to "Kidneys For Life" charity based at Manchester Royal Infirmary. This is my charity of choice in memory of my Dad, who had his kidney transplant there in 1970 and now, almost 50 years later, my daughter is working at MRI as a Staff Nurse in the Renal Unit. So please give generously. I shall be putting a finger buffet on to soak up some beer but all I expect from you is your Presence not presents. It's also our Karens birthday so it's a double celebration, I hope you can join us. KTF & KOKO, Shed.
  5. Hi All, just going thro' my boxes ready for tomorrow but couldn't decide what to decant so I've decided best to take both big boxes so I've got a bit of everything from Motown to modern, soulful to stompers. So expect a mixed bag of across the board tunes, something for everyone. Hope the weather doesn't put people off Brians inaugural event, I'm looking forward to playing to a different crowd and hopefully seeing a few old pals. Be there or be tucked up nice and cosy lol. KTF & KOKO Big Shed ( Carlton Club Prestwich)
  6. Welcome to Soul On Sunday @ Jonesies Bar, where we will be bringing you the very best of Northern Soul and Club Classics on the 2nd Sunday every month starting on 10th December with a full Alldayer from 2pm til midnight. Admission is only £2, pay on the door and with selected draft beers from £1.50p per pint is outstanding value for money. Our resident DJ Brian Hill and guests will entertain you with a good selection of quality vinyl on an impressive sound system. For more info call Brian 0n M: 07533 202244
  7. Bringing my "other" box tonight, you know the one with some Tamla Motown, just to give balance to proceedings, should be a gudun. Shed.
  8. Hi All, just to say I'm looking forward to Neil Horsman's spot on Saturday, going off his recent posts on Facebook it should be a cracker. Hope you can join us, KTF & KOKO, Shed.
  9. Hi All, looking forward to a cracking weekend starting at the CarltonClub with our guest Alan Massey who has been digging through the vaults. Expect some rare and underplayed grooves, along with a few surprises, to complement our across the board policy. Then Sunday it's down to Manchester to "Give it the Works" at Manchester Soul Festival, it'll be a packer. Hope I've got the legs. KTF & KOKO, Shed.
  10. Stop Press..... anyone attending Competition Ain't Nothin' tonight can receive a discount to New Century Soul Club Allnighter at Bury Town Hall. Just ask at the door for details. KTF & KOKO, Shed.
  11. An enjoyable night, enjoyed playing some Motown for a change, even had Diamond Des Jones checking two tracks, Save Me by the Miracles and The Temptations vesion of Gonna Give Her All The Love I've Got. Definitely no handbag stuff tho'. Looking forward to next month allready. KTF & KOKO. Shed
  12. Looking forward to catching up with you Stevie baby, at least for once we'll be in agreement over footy,( or are you Welsh Scouse? lol), seriously we'll be expecting some great tunes as usual from you mate. KOKO, Shed.
  13. Hi All, really looking forward to this Saturday, seems ages since the last one. I've seen our guest DJ Mike Taylor a couple of times recently and he's chomping at the bit to do his spot although he's in a bit of a quandary about what to play! As I advised him we play across the board so he's got free reign. Whatever happens I've seen his sales box and if that is anything to go by we'll be in for a treat when he delves into his play box. It also happens to be John Mitchells birthday on Friday, when he'll be at Newtons Got Soul but he's promised to make the trip up to The Carlton for a drink or two on Saturday so it'll be good to help him celebrate if you can make it.
