Am staying at The Fairway with Paul, Helen, Mark, Ian and Lesley etc. Am very excited as it's my birthday so shall be celebrating in style! This time we're staying near the venue so shall be able to venture out in the daytime. Last time our hotel was a bit far out...maaan! Link to comment

soul couple Posted October 28, 2009 Share Posted October 28, 2009 Soul Couple have been to all the previous Tower Weekenders and they never disappoint! shame that the Pier is not open this year as this much smaller extra event was a real bonus in previous years. kev - on the Friday can you get through from the lounge to the ballroom direct? ie the ballroom opens at 9pm but the lounge is already open!!!! (I hate him now and we're not talking...) I am determined that I am coming even if it means coming on my own, so am looking for anyone who might want to meet up with me so I don't spend the whole weekend completely alone! I currently live near Northampton but am originally from Sheffield. I'm a young-at-heart 53 year old who can still dance like I'm 17. Spent my youth at soul nites at Blackpool Mecca, Nottingham Palais, The Heartbeat in Sheffield, The Birdcage in Elsecar and made it to Wigan Casino just the once. I just want to dance! You can get from the Lounge to the Ballroom easily. Lounge will be playing Underplayed Classics 4-10, before Modern kicks in. We transfer upstairs to the Ballroom for the Friday night Oldies session.
