  3. After last year's popular Harrogate Cheltenham Club Re visited - here is Mark 2 - one year on. Harrogate Cheltenham Club was Harrogate's own version of the Twisted Wheel and pioneered 60's rare and club soul as newly released sounds between 1967 and 1969. The Re visit is an authentic recreation of this vibe. One of the original Cheltenham Club spinners, Mike Lowcock, is joined by Harrogate and Ilkley Northern Soul Club's Ian Smith. They will be spinning the club soul and R&B tunes played at the original venue on the original vinyl releases - no boots, re issues or pressings. The venue is the iconic Ripley Star Club - 5 miles north of Harrogate on the A61 - which is home to the world famous Ripley Blues Club. The venue, which has hosted the legendary Steve Cropper and other iconic R&B artists, has a fantastic sprung floor. You can get tickets in advance from www.ripleylive.com or pay on the night - £5 entrance fee with all proceeds going to Parkinsons UK.

In a break with tradition we're sporting a resident only lineup for September with Mr Jason Sharp bolstering the lineup. We're not sure if this constitutes foolish drunkenness or drunken foolishness. Should be good either way! Kicks off at 7pm and continues until Midnightish. Free entry.
