Series looking at the impact of soul music in Britain over the past 40 years. This edition examines the health of 21st century soul in Britain and how it reflects our multicultural society. In reaction to the pop-soul of Sade and George Michael came Soul II Soul and the rare groove scene that inspired a variety of bands and solo artists to explore new directions for sound system, hip hop and home-grown soul culture. Featuring Amy Winehouse, Jazzie B, Mica Paris, Beverley Knight and Lemar.
