Colour  Me Pop - The Chambers Brothers - unbroadcast

When the series was cancelled the last episode feat The Chambers Brothers got pulled and was never broadcast

Now available to watch x years later

Colour Me Pop was a British music TV programme broadcast on BBC2 from 1968–1969. It was a spin-off from the BBC 2 arts magazine show Late Night Line-Up. Designed to celebrate the new introduction of colour to British television, it was directed by Steve Turner, and showcased half-hour sets by pop and rock groups of the period. The programme was a pioneering precursor to the better remembered BBC music programme The Old Grey Whistle Test (1971–87). Unlike its successor, most of the editions of Colour Me Pop are missing, due to the BBC's archival policy of the time.

Thanx for this. I am a big fan of the Chambers Brothers. Not enough live material out there in video land.

What quality to be seen, a few years back may be about 7 or 8 I used to DJ with some old geezers by the names Sean and Nige at places Stoke, Blackpool, Whitby and other places. The backbone of my sets used to be the Chambers Brothers with awesome tunes "Are You Ready" and "I Can't Stand It". Having played these sounds I started hearing at least one of the tune up and down the country, was it down to their radio show in South Wales. It was great to hear the likes of Ginger Taylor playing "I Can't Stand It" at Lowton near Manchester I heard it played at Rugby and not just by me. I have started playing a couple more Chambers Brothers in todays set

anyway sit back and play that video again even louder.
