Had a message earlier today from a friend Stateside telling me that Chris Bartley had died. waited until now to get confirmation and can now confirm it is true. No real details as yet but thought it right to post about his passing. A fantastically soulful singer Mr Bartley was a perfect foil for the talents of Van McCoy and recorded some of the most sublime mid tempo songs that Van created.
