Perfect Intersections

Was listening to James Fountain - 7 Day Lover and was struck by the fact its a perfectly good northern soul tune and a perfectly good 'modern' record.

I'm sure there are plenty more tunes out there that would fit into the northern/modern catergory.....but what about other categories?

Interested to here other peoples opinions for tunes that it perfectly well into 2 distinct categories ie northern/gospel, northern/latin, northern/garage, northern/blues etc.
