Tony Michaels
I'm amazed no one has ever snapped up the white label test press I have for sale of the Manhattens on GW...hand typed/stamped labels...a slab of GW history!

Help With Values Please
Not an easy sell, as good as it is. Must admit, I think the 'I go crazy' side is dreadful...couldn't believe it when I heard it a few times at Stafford...but...the 'Bad talk' is a FANTASTIC midtempo tune and worth the admission price alone! Has anyone got seen a stock copy of this one?

3 More Added Inc 24 Karat Gold
This is such a good record...100% pure Northern...great instrumental breaks...and much rarer on a stock copy. Sounds awesome over a venue system, not that I've hard it out that much over the years. Highly recommended.

Sold! The Jades - I Know The Feelin' - Ponchello
Like a train careering down the mountainside with wheels often leaving the tracks, yet the driver yells to his side-kick to shovel in more coal, and cackles to himself as he sounds the whistle...kinda fits too!? DJs climb aboard this one!

Sold! The Jades - I Know The Feelin' - Ponchello
Yep that was me...a looooooooooooooooooong time ago! You can delete that address for sure. Bet you haven't got two D.Flynns in Tokyo, though, eh, eh?!

Canterbury - The Younghearts - A Little Togetherness
I accept JPYen, US$ or good ole UK£...or vinyl/styrene of course...and on the odd occasion cloth too (still need the 1st night Casino Russ & Richard and 1st Anniversary badges for the collection!)...who needs Paypal!?! Alas Tony, it has already sold...sorry my friend. Grab a copy if you get the chance as the recording quality really is great!

Sold! The Jades - I Know The Feelin' - Ponchello
Did I...blimey that must've been when your database was updated via carbon-paper, if it was me?! My last x2 copies came from over here...along with a couple of 'Big oak trees' and 'I want to give my love to you'...all mint and unplayed too! The Jades is the pick of the brace though, and not an easy one to find nowadays...what would you sell it for now, John? Will the other D.Flynn please stand up

Sold! The Jades - I Know The Feelin' - Ponchello
I agree. Like a more raw version of the Districts on Nile...top notch guitar work. Poncello strikes again!

Stairways - Don't You Care
Detroit? It was the instrumental that used to crop up as a tape swapper's fave during the 80's...think Domar had a fair stash of them at one point? Agree that the vocal isn't Soulful, mind!

Canterbury - The Younghearts - A Little Togetherness
They're not stamped like some earlier Soultown releases...different pressing plant involved? With regards to Mark's comment about the sound quality: I haven't owned a Canterbury (WD naturally!) copy in 20+ years, but on playing the Soultown copy it instantly sounded a lot 'sharper' than the Canterbury counterpart, as I recalled. Yup, my ears weren't deceiving me as both the vocals and instrumentation are defo different on checking it against a Canterbury soundfile, so different takes/mixes? The backing vocals and strings are further down in the mix of the Soultown version, whilst the brass and tambourine are defo more in your face, making it a lot 'brighter' and 'cleaner' sounding overall, without becoming 'clinical' or lifeless...and it's in mono. Well, you live and learn...wonder what the Zea recording is like?

Canterbury - The Younghearts - A Little Togetherness
Coincidence...I found one of these last saturday...£20 if anyone fancies it. (No machine stamps, just S-10-A and S-10-B scratched in.)

Magicians - Keep Your Hands Off My Baby - Villa
Non-anorak types please look away now. OK, hoods up...here's another pair of light-blue labels, one with, one without distribution by Cameo-Parkway...what a coincidence...and another mighty slab of Northern too. (Feel free to upload the Cameo label stock and demos too, if anyone wants to complete the picture?)

Magicians - Keep Your Hands Off My Baby - Villa
For reference, the version on the 'Hitsville West' Kent CD is longer than the 45.

Reasonably Priced Tyrone Barkley: Man Of Value (midsong)
An hour ago, eh...one for the Modern room, then?

Reasonably Priced Tyrone Barkley: Man Of Value (midsong)
Contrary to what Mr.Rounce is expecting us to believe, my solo accapella rendition performed in the bath earlier this evening, is head and shoulders above all other versions.

Look At Your Box
2010? Seen more Revis copies...come to think of it can't recall seeing a Cenco demo...is it white?

Big Predicament.....what Do You Do When?
Return it. They'll always be another record around the corner. If you keep it you'll be stressed every time you look at it, and it will spoil the enjoyment of the disc...especially if it is a fave. I recently received x2 discs through the post and was shocked at their poor condition. I wouldn't sell a disc in the condition these were without letting the buyer know EXACTLY what to expect first. imo

Sunlovers
MAYBE the orange ones were a follow-up press made in haste and at cheaper expense (less colours on label!), in order to rush them to the shops where they'd be...ahem...flying off the shelves?! The yellow ones therefore MAYBE were the initial run, looking like the rest of the releases on the label...and MAYBE used for radio DJs, having a more eye-catching label (albeit not stating DJ copy!). Come to think of it aren't the Johnny Hendley's one sided with a blank white labelled flip? MAYBE this is the same scenario for the Servicemen on Patheway, as in the 'caveman design' vs. plain orange ones? Hmmm.

Willie Cager - He's A Player B/w What Can You Do - Contact
Simply original unsold stock, shipped to Japan during the 70's, still in their original packing boxes, stuck gathering dust in a warehouse...which is why a large amount of the discs I sell are in such fabulous condition It is indeed my mission to liberate such discs and set them free...and I've gone out literally EVERY weekend for the last four years doing this...a filthy job, but someone has to do it!
