On May 24th we welcome Diane Sanderson back to East Lancs as our guest DJ,

Diane has been around the scene for many years going right back to the Casino days and she is a regular on the north west DJ circuit and is always a very safe pair of hands behind the deck with some incredible oldies.

Steve Lane our resident maestro is with us again this month, Steve has been DJ'n for many, many years now in the north west and never fails to fill the dance floor with his box of tricks.

Julie will be opening proceedings up, she is very quickly becoming a favourite on the soul scene with DJ spots across the north and in Italy & Spain this year, she has developed her own style and now has a following who love her across the board sets and she has now joined the Cleethorpes DJ list.

Stuart Hutchinson (me) will make up the quartet of DJ's on the night and I'll hopefully play a little something for everyone.

East Lancs is well and truly on the map these days as an across the board soul night playing oldies, R&B, classic Motown and modern and after 9 years we think we've got the balance just right.

    Well if Carlsberg did soul nights it would be East Lancs yesterday, we opened the doors at 7.15 and by 8pm it was already busy, Julie was first up and played some blinding stuff with a fabulous mix of Motown, oldies and some cracking modern soul, she was followed by Steve Lane who as usual absolutely filled the floor for his hour with some great choons form the torch & casino days.
    Our Guest Diane Sanderson was on the decks at 9.30 and wow did she play a brilliant set with music from every decade starting at the torch and finishing up at the mecca and to say she had a full floor was an understatement.
    Stuart hutchinson (me lol) was up last as usual doing the last 90 minutes and I hope I offered something for everyone, starting off with Gregory Porter Liquid Spirit for my mate Lisa and playing music from ever era during my set, I managed to get all the records in that I mentioned on the facebook page I think and in fact one lovely friend actually said she wasn’t very well but the choons I’d said I wanted to include this month spurred her on to attend last night.
    We continue to play across the board soul at East Lancs as we have for the last 9 years and again last night is testament to getting it right as again we were very busy, it reminded me on the old days when we first started with the dance floor full all night and so many smiling faces filling it.
    Julie and myself can’t express how grateful we are for the support shown by all of you and we have some people in who’ve we've not seen for a while and one or two new faces who also looked like they’d enjoyed the night.
    Next months event is on June 21st when we have Paul Eatough back as our resident joining myself and Julie with a guest DJ to be announced this week.
