around the notts area there is somewhere to go every friday and saturday night if you want it.so does it come down to how much you want or can it be the lack of need to travel in this neck of the woods.it may also have something to do with the rising cost of fuel-petrol/alchol and others and not the funds to to go out so often.im sure ever punter will have his/her own reason for not getting to the do's

i hate people who think that there opinions are more valid than others.i dislike people who need a record to be be played on original vinyl only(as a dancer i only care about the record not if it is ovo)i can see the point of not playing cds etc but records are records to a majority of punter.

i love northern soul and i love music.it must be me but it seems like a question that doesnt need answering.if you love northern soul and understand the joy it brings to you then it must follow that you can comprehend how other people feel about their chosen music.just because a music doesn't suit my ears doesn't make it crap,it just doesn't suit my ears.but music is something that evolves and takes influence from other music around it.would we have northern soul without the music that came before it ? rock and roll or doo wop?quite a few northern records are by artists that dabbled in this genre.so do i love music and northern soul.YES.

well my view is this.yes they (the records)have been known for a long time but fall out of fashion and dont get out of the box(or attic)until a dj thinks "i haven't heard that for a long time and it might work in my set"then up it pops and it becomes big again.you also have the regional thing-whats big in notts isnt big in london etc.then a dj from notts goes to london hears something and thinks"it might work in my notts set" and bingo.a couple of basic points but with the changing people on the scene and all the different venues i think its a great way for the music scene to be.im an oldies man so it will be me who says"i havn't heard this for 25 years-i used to love it.i still love it !" and that my friends is my veiw.the spider

remember this from years ago when i had an album called grovin with mr hollywood which i think was done by kev roberts.i would take it on any vinyl format.thanks everyone
