Here's my last show
https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...C08A4FD1AED59D1
and others are on the webpage..why moan about bad radio stations...all you want is here..
Regards
Barry
You've obviously never heard me moan.
If I was ever employed by the Samiratans people would be jumping off buildings left, right & centre.
Contrary to your beliefs, "all I want is not here"
The first link I get is -
The website's certificate was signed by an unknown certifying authority. You might be connecting to a website that is pretending to be "www.yousendit.com" which could put your confidential information at risk. Would you like to continue anyway?
The second link downloads a file "VSRS196.rm" that my comp can't open

Well I don't know if I dare mention that VIP radio plays a fair bit of soul. 2-4pm week days is everybody's fave promoter, who always slips in a few northern numbers ..
Cheers Ian, but I just wouldn't. Sometimes you just have to draw a line.
bit popular, though listening to big maybelle right now, but could try one of these:-https://www.vh1.com/music/radio/genre/index.jhtml?genre_num=3
Regret not available to Mac listeners.

Currently grinding my way through the day listening to 'Virgin Radio Groove'
Its an OK station, but if I had to sum it up in word it would be 'Shalimar'
Any soul Internet Radio stations you recommend Mon - Friday 9-5pm?
Cheers

Inspired by jts' post trying to get the Willie and the Mighty Magnificents LP, I began wondering what makes a group with a few good songs pump out an instrumental? Was Willie not happy that day, so took his toys home? Was he moonlighting in Pink Taco too make ends meet?
Missed the JTs thread.
I've got a Willie and the Mighty Magnificents LP that i could let go.
Which one does he need?

i bought the james coit promo - a bargain. great for framing.Heres another idea for James Coit
I really can't stress how friggin' easy this is. Set oven temperature of 200F.
Put a bowl upside-down on a cookie sheet, whack the record on top, and set it in the oven for about five minutes.
Pull it out (use a hotpad or you'll burn yourself!), whip off the flimsy record, and shove it down inside another bowl to mold it.
They don't give off toxic fumes or anything, and they don't get melty enough that you see fingerprints.
You've only got a few seconds to work with it though, so be quick.
I think I'm going to glue some marbles to the bottom to act as legs and use a piece of tape to cover up the hole.
Voila! Ultra trendy potato chip bowls

Now I know how moderators feel! I don't like that guy shouting his mouth off about something he knows absolutely nothing about, but it's nice to see people giving him what for, but I've removed a few of his comments - the ones with the f and c words in, can't see the point. Anyway I'm going to ban the c*nt in a minute.
Morning Pete
Won't add to the debate 'cos its pretty much all been said.
But you tag 'inner calm'......is that some sort of personal challenge?

When I first started going to Wigan I had no car. Used to thumb it up from Gloucester, well Dursley really. Bus to Gloucester, then onto M5 slip road and the trip would start. Once a month if I made it to the Frankley services by 9pm could get a life with the driver of a Wagon Weels truck, up to Knutsford, then round the car park to get a lift with other heading to the Casino. The way back was another whole adventure. On one occasion, didn't get back until 7am monday morning. Got dropped of at the exit south of Wigan only to find you can't get back on the motorway again there. When we did get back on the Motorway, the next guy took all the way to Liverpool cuz we feel to sleep in the car. Then we got a lift back to Lymm intersection and thought it's just a mile to Knutsford from here so we'll walk, bloody long mile. Didn't get our last life back to Gloucester until 1am, arrived there at 3am and walked the last 15 miles home.
Happy days
Southerners experiences ref late 70s all niters are very different to northerners as you can see in Moniques comments.
A saturday all nighter at Wigan often involved writing off the best part of 48 hours.
Not that I have too many regrets......

However, I definetly bumped into him at the Lacy Lady back in the 70s - a mate of mine was seeing a lass from that way (who was related to one of the DJ's and Elms came talking to the said bloke one time). Tripped over him at one of the Purley all-dayers - Elms did nod hello and we passed a few pleasantries. So I'd say he was definitely around the 'scene'. As for being a regular, I wasn't so I can't say whether he was.
Yes, but that was a totally different scene.
A scene that many of us on here spent most of our time trying to avoid.
