On holiday in Newquay, the local woolworths was playing a northern compilation CD......I asked the young girl behind the counter "what's this" (meaning what is the CD)......."northern soul" she answered!!!!! She used to work in a record shop in Plymouth where the owner was into Northern and he'd played it that much that when she came to Newquay, she found herself picking them out to play......

Zodiac bar is another one that plays Northern, unless it's the same one with a name change. My son was on his hols there and sent a text saying, they are playing THAT music of yours over here....I can't get away from it....
