Hope you can join us for a selection of records to add to the fireworks of the day,some right crackers guaranteed. We have a fabulous dance floor maintained to the highest standard,superb sound system complimenting the 3 local djs, Steve Ridealgh,Kevin Kellett and Ade Rushworth,with each having over 45 years of souling,by way of visiting venues,dancing and amassing fabulous records along the way. The music policy reflects their time on the scene,some you'll know and remember,some you'd forgotten you knew,some you've never heard before,but we can promise you absolute quality through and through. Requests are gladly taken,if we've got it we'll play it.

one for Saturday 😉 As I'm sure you all know rolls royce cars are the ultimate vehicles,without doubt the most finest luxurious cars with top class engineering bar none. So it figures the worker's leisure centre will also be something special 😉 Add to that dj's with similar pedigrees as the cars,with vinyl collections to die for,you are certainly in for a treat. Don't leave it too late as I'm sure it's going to be something special 😉

I ended up with long covid last march,before that I was a competitive triathlete. I used to cycle to work and back as a base then fitted in running and swimming on days off. After about 6 months of the inability to do exercise as I did,I found open water swimming a reprieve to what I was going through,although the 'soul scene ' also helped my progress. I decided to retire from work September,still struggling but the open water swimming and socialising on the soul scene definitely helped me cope. Come Xmas I resumed cycling,then took on a part time job February. The job is more manual than anything,which is helping the body conditioning. I now cycle the 6 miles there and back,4 days a week,I do steady runs through the woods of about 5 miles 2 to 3 times a week and still swim open water 2 to 4 times a week. I still regularly attend soul events,dancing a lot. Mentally working on the adage,one life,live it,and I do. I'm hoping to compete in a triathlon September,Subject to maintaining consistency,which in my opinion,is key to any program.
