A night of 60's & 70's Soul, Motown & Northern DJs Mick Janes - City Soul Club - Cambridge, Carol Cooper and Karen Janes 7:30 PM - to Midnight. This a lovely club that has everything going for it - A great Wooden Dance Floor throughout and club price drinks. A good sized car park too. The Beet Club is not new to us and we have been there before and it has a lovely vibe. Admission is £5 on the door. For reasons beyond our control This event has now been cancelled Rockin' with Soul in Cambridge Saturday 28th September 8PM - 12AM Westminster College Cambridge, CB3 0AA DJs for the night - Mick Janes, City Soul Club Alan Smith, Soul Motion Playing 60's & 70's Soul * Northern Soul * Motown Admission £6 This is a first for us, you can't usually book the college halls - so we are looking forward to it. It has a wooden floor throughout and good seating. There is a smoking area just by the hall. The bar is a bottle bar so there will be no draught. The prices are going to be competitive though. There is parking around the college but you can also park in the nearby roads - also the Castle Hill Car Park is nearby and is free after 6PM on a Saturday. No Jon, when you heard that we were going to give up Soul in Rothwell you asked if we would mind if you took over the venue. We did not mind and wished you well as we did not want to do our events there anymore. When we said we did not intend to go ahead with the November event we had booked you asked if we would mind if you did that date as you knew it would not clash with anything local. You even asked Mick to be a resident DJ at your event and he said no as it would not be right and give the impression that we were still a part of it. What you have done is taken one of our old fliers and copied and pasted your details on it. Even calling it Soul in Rothwell - giving the wrong impression - that the event is still on. There was no way we would have given you the okay to literally take over Soul In Rothwell when we came out of it - you need to do your own thing Jon.
