I made the rookie error this week of buying "A Little Piece Of Leather" on seven off ebay, but buying the wrong version. I had no idea there's more than one version.
What I wanted was the classic 60s northern footstomper. What I got was a funky version on London, from 1972.
So which label should I be looking out for for the version I'm after?
I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't available. The listing was last updated in 2005, and the seller has a poor rating, with one recent order described as "not available". I bet it's this.
There was a copy on ebay last year that went for about £200.
I'd really love a copy of this song. My favourite northern soul song, hands down.
