  1. Hello Soulsalmon, The Canadian Brunswick copy has a red label. The US promo is sort of a cream label. BMSF
  2. Hello Tedsoul, Cheers for posting the Brunswick standard issue Demures 45. That is the one I've been looking at. I've never seen a stock copy either. I've seen the promo in person. So, just to recap, the stock issue Tedsoul posted a scan of is going for more than the promo issue? I'm just trying to avoid making a mistake. Thanks again for all of the great responses. So, the stock is going for about £450 these days? Tedsoul, what is the condition of your copy? Thanks, everyone! BMSF
  3. Hello Everyone, Wow, thanks for the fast responses. The reason I asked about the Jackie Wilson (I meant Johnny Howard -- oops!) on the flip is that in doing a few online searches, I saw a Demures Brunswick "promo" 45 that was listed on Ebay UK, I believe. It was listed as a promo w/Jackie Wilson on the flip, and it looked completely different from the promo copy I've seen in person. The one is: https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JOHNNY-HOWARD-The-ch...VQQcmdZViewItem So, just to recap, the promo is about £300 in VG and the stock issue is ? Many thanks, everyone! So much great help here! 4. Hello All, I've got a query about the Demures - Raining Teardrops Brunswick 45. I know the promo issue is worth quite a bit of £. I'm working with someone who has the promo copy. It's in VG condition. What's it going for these days in this condition? Also, I've been in touch with someone else that has the Brunswick standard issue copy. Does the flip always have Jackie Wilson on the flip side? I'm looking at a collection that has the standard issue as part of the grouping, and haven't yet asked to see the flip side. Thanks, everyone! BritishMusicSoulFan
  5. Hello All, First, let me start by saying I'm not entirely new to northern soul/soul, but my interest in it has grown in a dramatic way this year. I was a casual fan and appreciator of northern soul/soul, but I started listening to more of it this year than I have in the past (my big love of music has been primarily 80s-present British indie). I really didn't think that this single was going to be big-dollar item. Most Motown 45s seem to (correct me if I'm wrong, please) generally fall into the 3 Pound (sorry, I have a Mac and haven't found the Pound sign) range for stock 45s and 5 Pounds for promos, with obvious exceptions. There is a lot to learn about soul, and I'm getting there, but it's going to take some time, as there is so much to soak in, hence my interest in signing up with Soul Source. I've had a lot of helpful advice given to me, and I hope that I can provide some in return. Thanks, All!
  6. Hello everyone, I've got a great northern soul US promo 45 for sale. This is Free and Easy from Satyr, catalogue number JH-10226 w/the same song on both sides (one mono version, one stereo version) from 1975. This comes in the original company sleeve. The record is in EX- (M-) condition. There are a couple of super faint, light marks on both sides and a bit of ring wear on the label. I'm asking 25 pounds. Let me if you're interested. Thanks, BritishMusicSoulFan
  7. Hello, Agreed...this one isn't Northern. This record is actually NM. I never grade anything mint, even anything perfect. This one would actually be closer to M-. I usually never grade higher than EX-. BMSF
  8. Hello Everyone, I'm planning on listing some great northern soul/soul 45s for everyone to look at, but I thought I'd get started with this one below. Please let me know if you're interested in this 45. Motown M 1140 in original "The Sound of Young America" sleeve David Ruffin My Whole World Ended (The Moment You Left Me) w/I've Got To Find Myself A Brand New Baby This 45 is in EX- condition. I see two incredibly faint, light marks that won't affect play. Thanks, everyone! BritishMusicSoulFan
  9. Hello Everyone, I've got a small Ebay store (100 items, with more being added) with a bunch of great northern soul and funk 45s and a great selection of soul (some sealed) and disco 12" in mint condition. Everything's available with a buy it now or best offer price. Come and take a look. Hope you see something of interest. https://stores.ebay.com/timsmusicshop Thanks, Tim
  10. Hello everyone, I've got a couple (and will have more) northern soul/soul 45s I'll offer up as a list in a week or 10 days, but here are a couple for the moment. Any idea on value? The Modulations/I'm Hopelessly In Love Buddah promo BDA-398 (EX-, one faint mark on one side) O'Jays/Peace World Peace Records, Inc. 100 (EX) Thanks, everyone! BritishMusicSoulFan
  11. Hello All, I'm considering bringing a bunch of northern soul 45s with me on my next trip from the U.S. to the UK. What I'm hoping to do is bring them with me and sell them to dealers at the a record show and trade for things I'm looking for. Anyone have a feeling whether people will be interested, or or there already a lot of people from the States bringing 45s over, therefore making this not that worthwhile? A lot of the 45s will be in the £5-10 range, with a few higher? Otherwise, I can also start compiling lists for those interested. Thanks, everyone! Tim
