Flowers For Bob A Funeral From Soul Source Members

After requests by members I have set up a simple donation fund to send flowers on behalf of Soul Source and all its members to Bob Abrahamian's funeral in Chicago on

Heads-up...PayPal does not support making donation payments from Japanese based accounts...not sure if other countries may also be affected.

Don't be a muppet like me and put the pound sign before amount, it won't work.

Panicked when it said Paypal, as I'm a thicky when it comes to that carry on, plus I can't remember my password, but managed to use a card, so money on the way

the donation page link doesn't seem to work - just sends me to the home page of the florist?

Try clicking on the link again Rich, don't click on the Skokie link, just scroll down to the bottom, & there is a donate box in the bottom left hand corner, where you put an amount (no £ signs) & then it takes you to the next page

Hope it works this time :thumbsup:

just a 'to keep all informed' post

have ordered the  flowers 

am now just awaiting the shop to confirm - which guess due to time difference will be not till the afternoon

Best hold off just for now, am going to try and get in touch with the family to see if they have details of a suitable charity that I can donate the extra amount recieved and that memberscan donate to if they wish

On behalf of Soul Source members I am sending flowers to Chicago for Bob Abrahamians funeral on Tue 10 June 2014

I am using https://www.skokieflorist.net/ as this has been suggested and is close to the funeral home.

As people have expressed a wish to donate, I have set this donation fund up

Due to the time limits will close this at 9am uk time Monday and I will then order flowers from this page that reflect the amount raised and the ceromony.

A simple message on behalf of all members will be added,

If any cash is left over then I will pass onto a charity of the familys choice

Donations can be made now va this feature

(If rather you can donate via paypal to telasource@btinternet.com but the above method is prefered )

Do suggest that donations are made bearing in mind the actual cost of the flowers and that this is just a simple way of the site saying fairwell to Bob

This has been setup in a quick but hopefully correct manner.

Do ask that if have any questions or concerns then please do pm me

Have just spoke to the florist and they have confirmed the order
The total donations made were 45
Thats  40 via the site system
5 via straight paypal method
 
45 donations totaling £434
paypal fees - due to the in- site system  paypal fees were payable (3.4% + 20p per transaction.) on each donation thru site
to keep things easier to track etc  i myself will cover these fees as my donation towards the flowers
 
That means the total collected was £434
 
 I have ordered the flowers here
Lily and Rose Tribute Spray - Standard:     $179.95
Wire Fee:     $0.00 Delivery Fee     $7.95 Service Fee:    $0.00
Tax:     $16.20 Total Order:     $204.10
Once i get a uk  figure from my bank on the £ value
I will then work out the total remaining and then pay this total  to a charity of the familys choice
(which is still being decided.)
 
As a matter of record , all the transactions are available on request if anyone wishes to see them, for privacy reasons i would have to edit the names out or get permissions before posting a complete list. so can post but would be a delay
 
All who made donations should have a record in their customer area - here
 
there was a small amount of payments which were either cancelled or not finalised during the process 
if not sure again these can be checked via the link above to see if were paid

that you shared with us will always be remembered

Just a quick heads up for those wishing to donate, but don't have Paypal...

 

Worry not, you can pay by credit card/debit card via Paypal, without holding a current Paypal account.

The current score is am still waiting for the charity to be nominated by the family and also the florist card payment to show up on my  account in £ so can post the full exact details

Amount from last post of the current total =£434

Since then have had another 9 donations of a total of £173
 
Total donated CARD PAYMENT TO SKOKIE FLORIST,204.10 USD, RATE 0.59/GBP ON 09-06-2014 NON-STERLING TRANSA £125.12
 
So the current running total  = £434+ £173 = £607 - £125.12 = .£481.88
 
am still awaiting a nominated charity from the family - once have got such will close the fund and pay what ever is the current running total in

Bobs sister informed me yesterday that the family "are planning to set up a fund in Bob's name, which at the moment we think would be used to help archive and move his collection to an institution. The legal paperwork will still take a couple weeks"

 

Once get any more details/info will update

I'm glad they're thinking of that. I always think it's a shame when a collection gets broken up.

Money or no money always a lot of sweat went into it which shouldn't be denied. In this case A LOT. :thumbsup:

a catch up

am closing the donations now

the total raised was 

£627 from 56 donations 

as stated the cost of the flowers was £125.12

So this leaves £501.88 (£627 - £125.12)

 

For a matter of record will post up a list of all the donations and the date but as this was set up in rush due to the time limitations, do feel there may be privacy issues if posted more info than this.

 

This all means that the donations are now closed and once the new trust/fund is open i will then pay the sum of £501.88 into it

 

Reference the fund, I have had news of Jenny (Bobs sister) and will post this news up later

Here's the latest score on the fund from Jenny (Bobs Sister) ...
 
Jenny has informed me that she has finally got legal authority over Bobs
accounts and is planning to setup a on-profit unincorporated charity fund
in the next few days.
 
Jenny also mentions that the planning of storing, archiving , digitizing
etc has started. This will all take a while but the donations will be extremely helpful in this process
 
And also Jenny  passed on that plans for the secured future if Bobs
website are in place,  include a move to a new server so there should be no
danger of it being took down.
 
Also planned is the addition of more archived shows - prior to 2006
