Ballads in the Barrios: The Story of Lowrider Soul By Andy Thomas
Once these ballads find their way into the community, they never leave
Amazing to think , that a tune so popular at Allnighters in the UK over the last 50 years or more , Bobby Paris - Night Owl , was originally a Lowrider tune , topping a list of 790 tunes by Tony Allen & the Champs , Nite Owl , back in 1955 , according to the " Old Barrio Guide to Low Rider Music "
Whilst reading the topic you can press the play option & listen to some of the wonderful tunes & feel the vibe , possibly the origins of Soul music... possibly.
