I have just learnt of the dirty tricks campaign being waged against the promoters of Crossfire involving the attempt of individuals, as yet unknown, to cause the maximum amount of disruption to the event and to try and steer Soulies away from the venue this coming Saturday. (I am certain by the time I post this everyone will have been made aware of the details.) As a promoter myself and as someone who knows the guys behind the event well (and admires their love of the scene and the music and their integrity) I could not just sit and do nothing as someone attempts to gain from this underhand dirty tricks campaign. It is at times like this you find out who your friends are and where people stand with regards to the way the scene should be. Therefore I am happy to say that I stand side by side with the lads from Crossfire and give them my 100% support. I have mailed all of the Plinston members and all of those in my email address book urging them to attend this Saturdays event if they can and I would ask all decent like minded Soulies to do the same. This sort of underhand campign MUST NOT be allowed to succeed, it is the thin end of the wedge and will do nothing for the scene that we all love and hold dear. Apathy allows these sort of individuals to flourish and grow stronger....vote with your feet as I will do this Saturday - See ya at Crossfire! TheBigO :-x
