Auction of Dave Godin related soul items to raise funds for a memorial tree and plaque

Just had news of Dave Godin related items on auction on ebay, the full info on this auction is further below.

The worthwhile aim is to raise funds for a "Memorial tree & plaque to Dave and/or (depending on how much we raise) an all-night soul Party in Dave's memory". Link to the list of all the items is below and as its ending very shortly if you wish to get involved then need to get over to ebay and bid as soon as you can

I'm writing to let you know there's several items formerly belonging to

Dave godin (a close friend of mine), for sale on ebay. Some items only have

a day or so left, others 3 & 4 days. Items for sale include original

signed/inscribed photo's of Marvin Gaye, Screamin Jay hawkins (Jalacy),

Doris Troy, Barbara Lynn, a signed Irma Thomas T-shirt, a selection of Soul

Music related books all signed to Dave by author and a few original sew-on

Soul-club badges - Wigan Casino etc. These things were originally intended

for an archive which now cannot happen due to another party refusing to

hand over the bulk of materials left for that purpose. We've decided the

next best option is to make them available to others for their own private

archives and use the funds raised to pay for a Memorial tree & plaque to

Dave and/or (depending on how much we raise) an all-night soul Party in

Dave's memory.
