Ken retired early at the age of 62 in 2016, giving him the opportunity to pursue a long-held passion, uncovering the hidden identities behind Northern Soul’s A&R men and women, labels, writers, and producers. A self-described “re-tread” or “returnee,” Ken originally left the scene in 1975 but later returned with renewed enthusiasm.
